My Non-Reef Tanks
« on: January 14, 2007, 04:46:31 PM »
Just thought since I'd posted pics of my reef tank a little while ago I would give the other fish some love.

Here's that little Biocube that I won at my 1st meeting. I JUST rescaped it, cleaned it up, etc yesterday. Before this it was a literal macro algae garden and I decided I'd go for a cleaner look instead. Also putting in pics of its inhabitants, a small spotted Hawkfish and a GORGEOUS new maroon I picked up from Brian yesterday. His stripes are even bluer than they look in these pics and the neon orange "halos" on the edges of his fins are stunning. It was one of those "He's such a pretty fish I'm gonna grab him and see if one of my empty tanks sets itself up" moments. I know he'll probably outgrow that Biocube soonish (espeically with the Hawk too), but I'm moving in a couple months at which point I'll resetup the 20L I have and give him an anemone and everything cause it has haildes. In case you can't tell, I REALLY like the colors on this fish :)

I'll try and get pics of the other fish in my predator tank over the course of the day. The eel likes to hide a lot and my puffer was acting strange last night and he's been hiding all morning. I turned on a new powerhead, so maybe he doesn't like the added flow.
In the meantime, here is Spike, my dwarf fuzzy.
There will be no FTS of this tank since it's looking UGLY at the moment :) The hair algae is a little out of control.

Under actinics the edges of his stripes fluoresce bright, neon blue. Something I've never seen before.

Nice looking Oscellaris Clown. One of my favorites of the clown fish.
