FOWLR dwarf lionfish species tank
« on: September 24, 2009, 08:19:32 PM »
Hi all. I have a 29g tank laying around my house collecting dust. As you can see from the subject Im thinking of setting it up as a species tank for a dwarf lionfish. So my question is do you think this would be do-able, and if so which species do you think would do best?
Thanks
Chris

most web sites recommend a 55 gal for a dwarf lion, as they do get quite large (8 in) and produce a lot of waste.  i have one that is currently for sale that has been in a 28 gal semi aggressive reef with no problems. basically it is doable with heavy filtration. lions are nocturnal and hide most of the time during the day. just something to think about..
